THE QUR’AN, Chapter 81 ;

TAKWIR (The one which folds up)

Introduction :

Revealed in Makkah in the early years of Islam, this chapter of 29 verses takes its name from the Arabic verb “kuwwirat - كورت - the one which is being folded up” in its first verse.

It draws attention to the HEREAFTER by mentioning certain events that will occur during final destruction of the universe and the rebuilding thereof.

It also establishes the Divine origin and authenticity of the Qur’ān and the Messengership of God’s Messenger Muhammad, upon him be all peace and blessings…

ENGLISH TRANSLATION :

1. When the sun is folded up and darkened,

2. And when the stars fall losing their luster,

3. And when the mountains are set moving,

4. And when highly prized pregnant camels are left untended,

5. And when the wild beasts and also the domesticated ones go forth from their places of rest, during the terror of destruction of the universe, and later, when following their revival, are gathered together before God, for settlement of their accounts,

6. And when the seas rise up boiling,

7. And when the souls of the righteous men with pure, righteous spouses, and the evil ones with their evil spouses and with devilish companions are coupled,

8. And when the female infant, buried alive, is questioned,

9. For what crime she was killed,

10. And when the scrolls of the deeds of every person are laid open,

11. And when the heaven is torn away with all the truths becoming

manifest,

12. And when the Blazing Flame is kindled to fierce heat,

13. And when Paradise is brought near for the God-revering and pious to enter,

14. Every person will then come to know what he has prepared for himself,

15. Oh, I swear by the stars which recede as disappearing in the sun’s light,

16. And rise in their course, and then set as disappearing again,

17. And by the night as it inclines to depart,

18. And by the morning as it breathes,

19. I swear that this which informs you of all the events mentioned is the word brought by the honored messenger Gabriel,

20. Endowed with power, with high rank and esteem before the Lord of the Supreme Throne,

21. One obeyed by his aides and trustworthy in fulfilling God’s orders, most particularly conveying the Revelation,

22. I swear that this companion, the Messenger who has spent his life among you, is not a madman,

23. Indeed he saw the Gabriel on the clear horizon,

24. I swear that he is not niggard in conveying to you Revelation and knowledge of the Unseen which lies beyond the reach of your perception,

25. Nor is this Qur’an the Word of any devil who is excluded from God’s Mercy,

26. Then, where are you headed to?

27. It is nothing other than a Reminder and instruction for all conscious beings,

28. For any of you who wills to take a straight path and follow it without deviance,

29. But you cannot will to do so unless God the Lord of the worlds wills.

ألقرأٰن، سورة التكوير :

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

1. إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ
2. وَإِذَا النُّجُومُ انكَدَرَتْ
3. وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ
4. وَإِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ
5. وَإِذَا الْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ
6. وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ
7. وَإِذَا النُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ
8. وَإِذَا الْمَوْؤُودَةُ سُئِلَتْ
9. بِأَيِّ ذَنبٍ قُتِلَتْ
10. وَإِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ
11. وَإِذَا السَّمَاء كُشِطَتْ
12. وَإِذَا الْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ
13. وَإِذَا الْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ
14. عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا أَحْضَرَتْ
15. فَلا أُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ
16. الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ
17. وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ
18. وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ
19. إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ
20. ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ
21. مُطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ
22. وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍ
23. وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ بِالأُفُقِ الْمُبِينِ
24. وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ
25. وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَانٍ رَجِيمٍ
26. فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ
27. إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
28. لِمَن شَاء مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ
29. وَمَا تَشَاؤُونَ إِلاَّ أَن يَشَاء اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ

TEKVÎR SURESİ (29 ayettir) ;

Rahman ve Rahîm Allah'ın adıyla

1.	Güneş büzülüp dürüldüğünde,
2.	Yıldızlar ışıklarını yitirdiğinde,
3.	Dağlar yürütüldüğünde,
4.	O bakmaya kıyılmayan develer kendi hallerine bırakıldığında,
5.	Vahşi hayvanlar bir araya toplandığında,
6.	Denizler kaynatıldığında,
7.	Benlikler çiftleştirildiğinde,
8.	O diri diri gömülen kız çocuğuna sorulduğunda,
9.	Hangi günah yüzünden öldürüldü diye!
10.	Sayfalar açılıp göz önüne konduğunda,
11.	Göğün örtüsü soyulup indirildiğinde,
12.	Cehennem kızıştırıldığında,
13.	Cennet yaklaştırıldığında,
14.	Her benlik, önceden ne hazırlamışsa bilmiş olacaktır.
15.	Hayır, iş onların sandığı gibi değil! Yemin olsun o sinip gizlenenlere,
16.	Akıp akıp giderek yuvasına girenlere,
17.	Beriye geldiği ve geriye döndüğü zaman geceye,
18.	Ve soluyarak açıldığı zaman sabaha,
19.	Ki o, çok değerli bir elçinin sözüdür.
20.	Çok güçlüdür o elçi, Arş sahibinin katında saygındır.
21.	İtaat edilir orada kendisine, emindir.
22.	Ve arkadaşınız bir cin çarpmış değildir.
23.	Yemin olsun ki, onu apaçık ufukta gördü.
24.	O, gayb konusunda cimri değildir.
25.	Ve o, kovulmuş şeytanın sözü değildir.
26.	Hal böyle iken nereye gidiyorsunuz?
27.	O, âlemlere bir öğütten başka şey değildir.
28.	İçinizden, dosdoğru yürümek isteyen için.
29.	Âlemlerin Rabbi olan Allah dilemedikçe, siz dileyemezsiniz!
