Das Werk zerstreut, die Mühe liegt verlassen da,

مَضَى الشَّبَابُ كَزِينَةِ يَوْمٍ وَانْقَضَى،

وَنَفْسِي لَمْ تَشْبَعْ، فَعَنِ الدُّنْيَا تَوَلَّتْ سَخَطاً.

الأَثَرُ بَاتَ بَعْثَراً، وَالْجُهْدُ مَتْرُوكاً هَبَاءً،

اِجْمَعُوا مَتَاعِي فَقَدْ حَانَ الرَّحِيلُ عَجَلاً...!

وَنَفْسِي عافَتْ دُنَاهَا بِلَا إِطْعَامْ 

فَالْجُهْدُ ضَاعَ وَصَارَ الْأَثَرُ رُكَامْ 

هَاتُوا مَتَاعِي فَإِنِّي عَالِمٌ بِقِيَامْ...!
